The night of the upgrade.
Whew did the upgraded to the latest wordpress 3 and also updated to a new version of the nextgengallery plugin.
Which ended up making us do a lot of recoding on our site theme to make it work correctly again.
And took a LOT longer than planned or expected!
In the process we completed the transfer of all photography related functions to our fully eCommerce enabled http://pauerstock.com image bank.
Also added a few social media widgets to help people share what they like.
image bank
The ePortal to our image bank is coming along nicely!
Most basic site and commerce setup are complete with the agency. As are the customizations to integrate its look and feel into our current main site layout.
The rather arduous task of combing through all the digital image files for image selection, prep, upload and key-wording will soon begin for not only digital files but the many chromes that are waiting to be scanned.
To see images currently available for Rights Managed licensing or as prints through our parent stock agency
Given up on local Shopping cart system
After a lot of testing, trials and problematic tribulations we have chosen to outsource the shopping cart functionality to PhotoShelter .
PhotoShelter provides image archiving and a very robust image search and sales system. Which includes industry standard pricing provided from the embedded FotoQuote module.
Shopping cart being tested
Testing out a new shopping cart system.
To see if online sales of fine art can be handled.
Test mode for now only, still need to work out how payment interface with banking would work.
