Site Updates
Slight blog rearrangement performed.
With several plugin update and new widgets done in preparation of a full WordPress upgrade.
Which went off without a hitch this time!
The work of re-targeting the primary site has begun and will continue over the next few weeks.
Updated and added a few galleries
Finally found a minutes to process a few images from places we have visited this fall, like Bracebridge and Algonquin.
Most of the new images were , made with very long exposures in excess of 30 seconds to get the dreamy look on the water.
That was fun, not
Completed a recovery of our main 1 terabyte work drive that took many days.
Thanks to regular Acronis backups, to raid drives and disk copies to DVD.
As well as a great utility called RescuePRO that came with one of our SanDisk Extreme cards.
We were able to successfully recover may years of digital images.
Not pleased with the not even year so old hard drive, the “green” series might save on power consumption but it does not last long in the process.
It has been replaced with 2 normal 1 terabyte drives and contents are now duped over nightly to the second drive. As well as the weekly backups.
Back from this summers camping trip
We are back from a month of camping.
Just unloaded the cards and processed 1 image so far.
Here is a sampling of image taken at a Ducks unlimited wetland project on the Bruce peninsula.

Weddings coming up, two in a row.
In between we need to do the prep for photographing a couple of national/provincial parks.
Building to our collection of Parks Canada images.
The night of the upgrade.
Whew did the upgraded to the latest wordpress 3 and also updated to a new version of the nextgengallery plugin.
Which ended up making us do a lot of recoding on our site theme to make it work correctly again.
And took a LOT longer than planned or expected!
In the process we completed the transfer of all photography related functions to our fully eCommerce enabled http://pauerstock.com image bank.
Also added a few social media widgets to help people share what they like.
